Waterfowl
need fresh water daily but don't neccesarily require a large
pond. Many of our aviaries have small concrete ponds with
drains. These are easily drained, flushed and filled with
fresh water.
Pre-formed plastic ponds or pond liners can be used as well.
Naturally, the larger pond you can provide, the happier
they will be. We feed our waterfowl poultry crumbles, and
mixed grains. Most geese love to eat green grass. Dandelions,
grass clippings, etc can be provided as well. In winter,
we give ours lettuces, alfalfa & grass hay.

Many of the
ducks do not make much noise. Most are hardy and easy to care
for.
They are very colorful and interesting to watch. Most geese will
make some noise and
neighbors should be considerd before purchasing.
